What A Day!

After being up all night with Kiera's fever still hanging around 102.5 and after a morning of blah dealing with doctors receptionists and pharmacy idiots, we finally got Kaitlyn's medacine and Kiera's fever finally broke! And while we were out on a quest for Kaitlyn's medicine, we got to see President Obama! Kaitlyn eccpecially liked the big helocopters. It was neat. I've never seen a president in person before. He tricked everyone, because I strolled in late we were parked kindof off the main path of where everyone that attended the town hall style meeting and protestors were all lining the street waiting to catch a glimps of the motorcaid. To everyones surprise he never left in the motorcaid he arrived in. He left in one of five huge helocopters that took off from behind the school. Only about 50 feet from where I ened up parking! So here we are home again. Kaitlyn took her medacine, only 4 hours late, Kiera's temp is back to norm and she hasnt had any assistance from tylenol since about 4 this morning. I'd call it a good day.

The girls and I were just having a good ol time doing our normal dancing and singing along with the radio while waiting for daddy to get home from work and Kaitlyn decided it would be a great time to snap a few pictures. So we did.


This is how Kiera usually looks these days following me around. She has entered the cling to mommy phase plus shes been a bit uncomfortable with another tooth SLOWLY making its way through her gums and running a fever the last two days of up to 103. But shes toughing it out.

So I was wondering as I am sure you were too... Will Kiera's Birthday, April Fools Day and Easter ever all fall on the same day? Well, Kiera's Birthday and April Fools Day will every year, but how about how Easter Hops around, no pun intended I did some math and came up with this...

Kiera also had her 1 year check-up Tuesday and her new stats are
Length - 31in putting her in the 80th percentile
Weight - 21.3 putting her in the 20th percentile
Head circ - 17 1/2in putting her in the 50th percentile

The doc said she's perfect and the reason hasnt gained that much weight is because of the running around she does at such a young age. Most kids are still wobbling around and crawling able to plumb up but she is burning probably almost every calorie that she takes in. I wish I could do that :)

Kaitlyn is just so proud of her new bed she wanted to pose for a picture this morning.

We were hoping Kiera's red nose would be better this morning, but it looks alot worse :( poor little girl. Now I feel real bad...

Jam Packed month just keeps on going

This past weekend we went to Drew & Blake's 1st birthday party. That was fun. We went shopping for a new bed for Kaitlyn and we found a winner! Finding the bedding was the most difficult part, but we found something she loves. Any guess what color? 99% of the pupose of getting her a "big girl" bed was to keep Kiera from climbing up to bug her when she is trying to get to sleep, but Kiera has already mastered getting up, so at least she has a bigger bed that she likes even though her little sister won't leave her alone.
The same darn step that claimed Kaitlyns forehead got Kiera today. I was able to save Kieras face for the most part and it just scrapped her nose. She looks like Rudolph. Those darn steps can be so tricky, I felt so bad, but I can only be one place at a time. We have also aquired a swingset we just need to get a swing for Kiera and maybe a new swing for Kaitlyn too and get it moved to our yard. Anyone wanna volunteer to help with the move?

How can I keep her Grounded?

So, it's old news that Kiera can get up onto our sofa and pull/climb her way up into the window sill. That was good enough for causing me to nearly have a heart attack. But picture walking into the Kitchen and seeing her little self standing on the Kitchen table! You think someone had to have put her there, right? Oh no, I waslked into the kitchen and found her standing on the table. So I take her down and she shows me just how she does it. She gets under the table and uses every muscle in her body to push the chair out. then after bumping her head on the average of 2 times she pulls herself up onto the chair and then stands up and proceeds to pull herself onto the table. Whats Next?!?


I guess the answer to my question (the title) is with a fever. Since I last posted this a few hours ago Kiera has since taken on a 103 degree fever. One minute she looks miserable and the next she's up playing around, but for brief moments at a time. Here are a few pics of her working through the fever. I hope she isn't getting what Kaitlyn had.

Easter 2009 ~ (Kiera's 1st)(Kaitlyn's 4th)

Kaitlyn had a good time dying Easter eggs. Kiera wasn't sure what to do. She tried to eat the eggs and throw them.






Easter morning was fun the girls woke up to find they each had an Easter basket full of candy and little toys. Kaitlyn found all the eggs the Easter bunny hid through out the house and Kiera thought she'd sit on them and wait for them to hatch I guess.

Easter Bunny Experience

I got the girls all dolled up to go see the Easter Bunny. As usual Kiera just went with it, she got a little frightened when I started to walk away, but then was ok when I smiled at her and reassured her she was ok. Kaitlyn on the other hand was about as uncooperative as a kid could get. Screaming and crying and the deal. So I decided that it wasnt worth it to terrify her and make her get close to a 7 ft. bunny. That does have to be a bit freaky in a childs mind. So we got the picture of Kiera with the Easter bunny and later got a picture of Kaitlyn holding the picture of Kiera with the Easter bunny. Does that count? We are going to a differnt place to try again today, but I don't have my hopes up.

Did you watch the News?

It may have been a little late, but Kiera's pretty little face was on the news this morning on fox2's 1st birthdays. It was so exciting. I cried, I don't know why but I'm not ashamed to admit it. There were other kids on there as well but we edited it to only bring you the cutest of them all.
We will be dying easter eggs tomorrow night. And as soon as Kiera wakes up gfrom her nap this afternoon we are off to see the easter bunny. Kaitlyn has always screamed so I am prepared for her to have that reaction. I can't wait to see how kiera reacts to the oversized bunny. Stay tuned for pictures. Have a Happy Easter!

Well it just flew by... but it was fun while it lasted!

My baby is one and the days just keep flying by. 1st off, Thankyou everyone that was able to attend Kiera's party. Thankyou for the great toys and clothes and money. She really had a good time. I think we all had a good time. And of course we have plenty of pictures to remember the day.
Kaitlyn got to be Big sis and help her open gifts and blow out her candle and help her play her new piano. She absolutely loves being a big sister.
Kiera is so different than Kaitlyn was at that age. Kaitlyn was stand offish and hated to be center of attention. Kiera just went with it. She opened her gifts at her own pace, she got some help from mama cheek then shifted to uncle ryan for som help then made her way to her daddy for some help and of course kaitlyn. She really enjoyed playing and hugging on her cousins Blake and Drew. They were more into the balloons than her, but she understood. I am so glad there are little ones again to entertain us, because it just makes birthdays and holidays so much more fun. One thing her and Kaitlyn both did was make a big dirty mess with their first slice of Birthday cake, but its so fun to watch, you have to let them do it. Enjoy the pictures.
