4th of July weekend was a blast! We kicked it off by having a BBQ here at our house. We grilled something long the lines of 20 pork steaks plus burgers, hot dogs and brats, after we ate we shot off fire works for a couple hours. It was a great way to start off the weekend. Thanks to everyone that came out and made it such a great night. Sunday the girls and I headed out to O'fallon to go to the Fair and Fireworks display with the Cheeks and the McIntyre but it ended up getting rained out so we went back to the Cheek's house and did more fireworks there. The parade was scheduled for Monday morning so we were hoping the weather would cooperate. We hit a small rain shower on the way there but just as we were walking looking for a great spot the rain stopped and it was perfect parade weather. I had no idea they threw out so much candy at the kids and we happened to be right next to the nicest ladies that were determined to help fill Kaitlyn and Kieras bags with goodies. This was the girls 1st real parade and they LOVED it! We will definitely be going back again and again. We went back to the Cheeks and had a BBQ then headed to the pool for the rest of the day until it was time to pack up and head to watch the fireworks display. They promised a spectacular display since it got rained out the night before and they did not disappoint. 40 or so minutes of non stop fireworks with a finale that was just crazy was one of the best I have seen. Thanks again to Amazing family and friends for a great weekend!!!
