Happy Thanksgiving!

The girls really enjoyed their Thanksgiving from start to finish. They woke up and watched hours of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade then we got all gussied up and headed to Papa and Mama Cheeks house for the traditional family dinner. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of them in their dress clothes. The girls ate a ton of food and played and played and played. They both slept pretty good for a change, which was very nice and needed. We did a little bit of Black Friday shopping, but we weren't brave and or stupid enough to stand out in the cold for hours so we got there too late for the great deal on a laptop I was aiming for. Oh well. The girls got a lot of great things though so my shopping is almost done for them :) Hopefully you had a great Turkey day and will have a wonderful Holiday Season!

Kaitlyn realized what great bubbles you can make from milk while watching the parade

leave it to the baby to know when to smile for the camera, Kaitlyn and I were way off :)

Kaitlyns PreSchool Pictures are in!

I'm so proud of her, she smiled so sweet. I just wish that they would have printed the picture portrait style instead of landscape (tall instead of wide) and I wish that someone would have fixed her bangs. Oh well they still turned out great! We ordered a big package so let me know if you would like one and what size and we will get it to you, if I don't choose to get retakes :)

Cold Outside

Even though the temperature was heading down to the 40's the girls still wanted to get some playtime in outside when we got up to Papa and Mama's house Sunday. Kaitlyn has given Kiera plenty of rides in the past but Kiera never hopped on facing backwards so naturally we had to get a photo. Uncle Ryan got in on the fun to show off his new do.

Uncle Ryan's Birthday & Playing Around

The girls had a great time bringing Uncle Ryan his Cookie Cake and helping him blow out the candles.

Having a great conversation

He looks all giggidy about his cookie cake

Wrestle/Tickle mania but they always have time to...

We even ended our night outside

This was our first fire out back so far this year and the girls did great. They didn't mess with it at all. It was nice doing something different and being outside all day and evening for a change. Have you ever sat outside with a fire going eating Popsicles in November? That's what the girls did.

They really needed a bath at the end of the night.

Perfect Weather to get out and Play

This weather is too perfect to pass up. We just got back from a few hours at Suson Park. Kaitlyn wanted to go to Grant's Farm but they closed November 2nd. I thought about going to the zoo but sometimes those two girls of mine can be a big handful when it's just them and I. So, We're going to refuel with some lunch and a possible nap and head out to the back yard for more play. I figure take it all in while you can. You never know, we might have snow this time next week with the crazy weather we get here. I think the saying goes.... If you don't like the weather in St. Louis, stick around for 10 minutes.

Sleeping Beauties

It is possible for the girls to nap at the same time. Too bad this was at 6pm so I had to wake them up shortly after this picture was taken. The new daylight hours are throwing them through a loop. See... the wedge does get used, if we didn't have it, this moment would not have happened :)

Halloween

We had such a fun Halloween. It was nice being on a Saturday for a change not having to deal with rush hour traffic to get where we needed to go. We started out the day going to Micheal's for a craft and treat event that they had. The girls got to make some neat things and got a nice bucket with balloon and candy. The we headed up to Mama and Papa Cheek's house to trick or treat. Kaitlyn was so ready she could hardly stand it, waiting until it was dark enough to head out. Kiera followed Kaitlyn so it almost looked like she knew what she was doing and it was so cute how Kaitlyn would help her step up to the porch and make sure her baby sis got candy from every house that she did. Kaitlyn loved every minute of being a beautiful princess and Kiera was a clown during the first part of the day, then a monkey the first part of the night and finally a bear when we went back out for round two when it was a bit colder. They actually filled their buckets and had to go back to empty them and go back out for more! James and I have been waiting 4 years for that! It was indeed an evening of fun. Hope yours was just as great!

Finally content with the amount of candy laying out in front of her

She's serious about her M&Ms
