Kaitlyn, Kiera & Mama getting ready to go
Kiera slowly making her way back up
She didn't think she needed a sled, scooting on her bottom butt was fun enough
Kaitlyn hiking up... Mama falling...again
We went up to mama and papa Cheeks house for our usual Sunday visit. However shortly after getting there it started snowing. We headed over to Aunt Val and Uncle Johns house to see their new kitchen, which looks so beautiful by the way, but we only stayed for about a half hour or so because the snow was coming down at a pretty good rate. The roads in that short time got pretty slippery so I decided we'd be staying out that way for over night. That night Ryan went out to pack down the snow on part of the driveway to turn it into a mini sledding hill for Kaitlyn which we all had a bit of fun on for a while. The next day we found a great hill in the neighborhood that worked perfect for sledding, it was s bit big for Kaitlyn's first time sledding, but she road with Me or Mama Sheryl every time. There was a tiny 1ft wide by 2inch deep drainage stream at the bottom of the hill that we had not come close to touching until Kaitlyn decided she wanted to try it by herself. So my mom and I are standing at the top of the hill as Kaitlyn takes off we both noticed instantly that she was not going to stop as fast as we did when we rode with her. My 1st thoughts are... I'm not going to catch her if I run after her/ running down hills are not my strong suit, and 2. The water she might go into is more shallow than the mud and mush we were ending up in that was slowing us so I took a few steps and watched as my mom didn't give it as much thought as her instincts made her take off after Kaitlyn as if it were the Ocean at the bottom of the hill and about half way down she fell and started rolling and tumbling feet over head, I'm amazed she didn't break something. She just didn't want Kaitlyn touching the water. After laughing for a few minutes we pulled ourselves together and went down the hill a couple more times with one of us at the bottom or someone riding with her. We went back to the house to warm up and then headed back out again. The temperature had dropped for the hour we were inside so the top of the snow was starting to refreeze making it even more slick. Which leads us into the video that I have posted. I was the one standing at the bottom of the hill in case Kaitlyn had to be slowed down, but this time I was videoing as well. No I did not drop the camera, I tried to slow her down because she was headed for the water or possibly over it and when I slowed her down my leg got pushed so hard by the front of the sled it made me do a flip and tumble but I made sure not to stop videoing. It was fun, a little too cold I think it was about 11 degrees, but it was fun. And sorry mom for telling about bout your tumble down the hill, but after seeing that you weren't broken it was one of the best laughs I have had in a long time, so Thank you.
How it's supposed to go...
She made me flip...
Now maybe you can see how I flipped, she was cruising down that hill. It was no bunny slope.

Grandma Plate says more-more-more.
Grandma says, I will accompany you the next time and show Sheryl how to navigate a slippery hill in a graceful ladylike way.
It was a fun filled day. A hill filled with snow and Ice makes for some fast fun. How we didn't break anything is beyond me. Since Jennifer told the story I will admit she only had 1 fall, I had two. I never laughed so hard. I must have layed in the snow laughing for at least a minute. Jennifer you liked the running fall. I liked the sled going backwards and both girl and I flew off. I am down and out laughing and both girls are saying one more time grandma. It was one of the most memorible days with the girls. You gotta Love em'
