Early Mothers Day Present

Lately with the nice weather, when Kaitlyn gets home from school we just go straight to the backyard to play. Thursday we did this but after a minute of swinging she whispered, "Mommy, I have something in my backpack for you." So she got this little wrapped present out of her back pack and told me that this is what she had been working so hard on at school and that she hoped I loved it. After asking her a few times if I could open it early she finally let me and what she had made me was the cutest little thing.
After I opened it she sat there and pointed every little detail out to me. It may be little but she was so proud of what she created. She showed me how she made the flower with her fingers and the bee was her thumb print and the stem of the flower was her pointer finger. Now I know what she was working on when she came home form school with blue, green, brown and yellow paint all over her hands and arms and clothes. Little surprise gifts like this make being a mom the most amazing thing in the world.
