Hello September! Wait, where did August go?

Kiera is now 17 months old and just keeps growing. This will be the last time you hear me refer to her age in months. Next month she will be a year and a half, I just think it's too funny when we are out playing somewhere and I will ask a mom or dad how old their little one is and they say something along the lines of, "Oh, she is 31 months." Then I have to stand there and do the math to figure out how old their crib midget is. Oso bitter sweet, I was hoping she wouldn't grow up so fast. The girls had their 4 year and 1 year doctor visits last week and both checked out good. The doctors visit was a story in itself, they relocated to the new medical building that is attached to the new hospital right down the street, so we didn't know where we were going. So we get to the 3rd floor and I am signing in with Kiera in the stroller and Kaitlyn right next to me, or so I thought, I turn around and Kaitlyn is saying bye mommy as she is on the elevator and the doors were about 3 inches from all the way closed. So I panic, after giving the elevator time to come back the doors open and it was empty, so now I have to find her. I hop on the elevator going down and ask the lady to call down to the front door and tell secutiry not to let a 3 year old in green out that door. I check every floor and no sign of her, the lady that called down to the welcome desk went up to the 4th floor to look. I didn't know she was doing this, so I am freaking out still. I get back to the 3rd floor and there is Kaitlyn sitting at the sign in desk coloring a picture. What would you have done? I thanked the lady a million times and did the rest of the registration with Kaitlyn in on hand and the stroller in the other. So we get to our room where we are waiting for the doc and Kaitlyn then realizes this is the doctor that usually gives her shots so she starts freaking out. So after about 5 minutes the doc walks in and she starts screaming, wouldn't cooperate in the least, so he checks out Kiera and looks over Kaitlyn the best he can without getting kicked if he gets too close and was out the door. the nurse came in decided we would Kaitlyns shot out of the way. She's kicking and screaming so bad the nurse gives her the shot and keeps crying and carrying on, I have to convince her the shot is over and she then looked at me like I was crazy and told me she didn't get a shot, but liked her new snoopie band-aid. That girl is deffinately in a league of her own when it comes to stubborn, hard headedness. Kiera on the other hand had to get 3 shots and took them like a champ she didn't cry till the last one and that was because the nurse dropped the sarynge and the needle was still stuck in her arm so it kinda wiggled around in there for a second. So after all that we get our little pieces of paper with their latest stats and Kaitlyn is now in the 99% for height so she is no longer off the charts there and still off the charts for her weight, she is about the size of an average 6 year old they say, ha. Kiera on the other hand is the complete opposite of her sister and she is on the small end of the spectrum in weight but nice and tall. What a morning! I always say I am going to plan their next visit on James' day off but his only day off is the same as the docs only day off. Figures. Anyway, here are the numbers & enjoy the latest pictures...

Kaitlyn @ 4 years old - 42 1/2 inches tall & 51 pounds
Kiera @ 17 months is - 34 inches tall, 23 lbs & her head is 18 1/4 inches around.

Looking through the mail

Kiera will not leave Kaitlyn alone when she is trying to take a nap, if it was up to her, no one would sleep ever

Kiera posing like her sister did at that age in the same hat, if I could find the whole outfit I would have put her in it :)
