1st day of Kindergarten!

The anticipation has been building and it's FINALLY here.  Kaitlyn is officially a KINDERGARTNER!!!  She was so ready and did great this morning.  I am so proud of her.

fresh after a bath and ready for a bed time story

sleepy but anxious, you know the feeling

I started to get a little choked up here but managed to keep my composure for the time being.

Kiera and I raced up to school to beat the bus so we could get a few pictures of Kaitlyn getting off of the bus at school.  She was surprised to see us but glad but she stayed in independent big kid mode

It upsets me this picture is blurry.  She was so happy she was actually skipping to the front doors of the school

Finally inside looking around trying to remember where her classroom is.  This is the real deal now

She sat right down at her desk and got right to work. 

Kiera parked her tush on the ground right in front of the main doors and threw an amazing tantrum.  She wanted to stay and go to kindergarten.  I picked her up and when I finally got her buckled in the truck, that is when my emotions of the whole day started pouring out.  Just that tiny little bit of added stress started the waterworks, if she would have not thrown that fit, I may have went the whole morning without a tear.  I'm sure I looked like a mess driving home from the school.  Oh well.

I am so so proud of Kaitlyn, she was so ready for this day a lot more ready than I was.  She is AMAZING!!!
