Sister, Sister

Kaitlyn all ready for her 2nd day of Kindergarten.  She was so excited to wear this purple outfit she got for her birthday with her black sandals she wasn't allowed to wear to preschool.

Outdoor movie night at Eli's house was a hit.  The girls usually won't sit through an entire movie but the outdoor atmosphere, sitting on blankets and a huge bowl of popcorn along with a great movie (RIO, that Kaitlyn got  for her birthday) did the trick.  I think I have to get one of those projectors, it was so fun!

Love making silly faces.  This was after Kaitlyn got home from "red" day at her school she saw this shirt at the store the night before and just had to have it and I couldn't say no.  Kiera wanted to get in on the red too.

Another Sunday swim.  I think swimming has been one of the girls favorite things to do this summer.  I  don't know what we are going to replace the time with when the pools close in a week and a half?!?

IT SLEEPS!  Kiera napping on the infamous white couch.  I cannot get her out of this princess dress lately.  She wears it at some point almost everyday.  I try to wash it after bathtime so it's ready for the next day.  A few times it's been in the wash when she wants it and she will freak out if her dress is not available in a moments notice.  No, I do not let her hit the stores or anything in it.  However she did get to wear it to Mawmaw and Pawpaw Cheeks house the other day,

Kaitlyn loves to pretend that Kiera is her baby.  She will pick her up and walk her around the room and Kiera loves pretending she is the baby.  She will get so into it that she wont even speak,  she will only make cooing noises.  In this picture Kaitlyn was walking around holding Kiera and sat down to feed her a little juice.  After that she sat her up and burped her but none of us were expecting the huge burp Kiera let out just at the right time.  They thought it was hysterical.  Aren't those just the cutest little faces ever?  I am so lucky!

I can't believe how ignorant, selfish and cold people can be. Not even a call in 5 months. Not on birthdays or the first day of kindergarten? Those are huge events to not acknowledge for those you "care about".  Wow, and I thought you actually did care. You sure fooled me for a while. Unfortunately a little money brings out the ugly in some people and it is a shame what it did to you and a few others.  But I understand that you are embarrassed and ashamed of your actions.   Hope you're happy with your decisions. You're the one missing out, I hope you realize that but sadly I doubt that you do.   Luckily my little angels haven't even mentioned your name. If I had to explain your stupidity and lack of actions, I'd actually be very pissed.  So far your lack of presence has went unnoticed. I am posting this here because you are probably nosy enough to check this blog to get a glimpse of what you're missing every now and then and I hope it hurts.  In your case being nosy is possibly your conscience.                         You should have called.

Kaitlyn Did Great on her 1st Day!

Waiting for Kaitlyn to get off the bus.  She loves sitting here and the mail lady happen to come while we were waiting so she gave Kiera the mail.  I said she was an outgoing package, but she didn't take her :)

James was able to get off early to see her off the bus since he couldn't go in late to see her get on.

She made it through the first day and actually talked about the things she did.  She loved it!  She got a sticker on her daily report which means she was great for her teacher and didn't get into any trouble, yet.  If they get a sticker every day of the week they get to pick something from the treasure chest on Friday.  She wants to get something out of that treasure chest every Fri.  Sounds good to me!

1st day of Kindergarten!

The anticipation has been building and it's FINALLY here.  Kaitlyn is officially a KINDERGARTNER!!!  She was so ready and did great this morning.  I am so proud of her.

I started to get a little choked up here but managed to keep my composure for the time being.

Kiera and I raced up to school to beat the bus so we could get a few pictures of Kaitlyn getting off of the bus at school.  She was surprised to see us but glad but she stayed in independent big kid mode

It upsets me this picture is blurry.  She was so happy she was actually skipping to the front doors of the school

She sat right down at her desk and got right to work. 

Kiera parked her tush on the ground right in front of the main doors and threw an amazing tantrum.  She wanted to stay and go to kindergarten.  I picked her up and when I finally got her buckled in the truck, that is when my emotions of the whole day started pouring out.  Just that tiny little bit of added stress started the waterworks, if she would have not thrown that fit, I may have went the whole morning without a tear.  I'm sure I looked like a mess driving home from the school.  Oh well.

I am so so proud of Kaitlyn, she was so ready for this day a lot more ready than I was.  She is AMAZING!!!

Finally an Update!

I haven't posted anything new in almost a month because we've been so busy doing so many fun things that I just haven't had time.  Kaitlyn is about to have another birthday this Sunday and she is so excited for her birthday party coming up and Kindergarten starts Wed so with all that coming up I needed to update this before I fall too far behind to even try to keep up with ourselves =) Be prepared for a lot of pictures... here we go...
