Little Future Fasionista?.....Or Not

Kiera loves to dress herself from head to toe. This time she was confident about the shirt/dress(actually Kaitlyn's pajama top) but couldn't decide on which accessories and shoes went best. She loves walking around in the heels, but she ended up grabbing her keys and walking to the door in the tennis shoes, sweat band around the leg, bag and hat. What do you think of look she put together?

The other day the girls were exploring and for some reason they like to play in the dog pin and Kaitlyn was so excited to find these little baby bunny rabbits. Yesterday she stuck her hand in the hole and the bunnies jumped scaring Kaitlyn a little bit. She ran off to her daddy that baby bunnies jump like frogs. They are too little to come out of the hole yet and there eyes are just beginning to open. But she loves checking on them several times a day and covering them back up with the fur the mother bunny always puts back over the hole.

We thought there was 3 but after they jumped around yesterday as Kaitlyn stuck her hand in their home we now know there are at least 6.


Actually wanting to have her picture taken for a change. I think she really enjoys the time her and I have by our selves when Kiera is napping and she doesn't have school.

Another Fun Filled Weekend

This first picture needs an intro so here it goes... Kaitlyn had to go #2 the other night so as usual she goes in and locks the door so no one bugs her. after about 10 minutes I called to check on her and instead of her usual response when she is trying to go to the bathroom, when I asked what she was doing she replied with, "nothing." If you ever ask Kaitlyn what she is doing and her response is her yelling back that she is not doing anything, get to where she is as fast as you can because usually it means she is up to no good. This time I unlocked the door very quickly and pushed it open so fast that she had no time to not be doing what she was doing. I happened to have the camera in my hand because I had just taken a cute picture of Kiera and this is what I found....
She decided it was time to do makeup, yes she is standing in the bathroom sink. Doesn't she look just like a deer staring into headlights? Remember, you can click on any of the pictures to make them larger for a better look.

Kiera was not very happy on anything but Kiatlyn's four wheeler this weekend and did not want to go for doubles riding. So it looks like anothr big four wheeler is next on the list of must haves. If you are wondeirng what Kaitlyn is doing, she is eating a Banana.


Usually they have so much fun riding their bikes around mama and papa's backyard. I don't know why in both of the pictures below they are so serious. Looks like they were set on trying to run something or someone over.



Ryan was watching the Bottom of the 19th inning (Cardianl Game) and Kaitlyn was determined to stand just like him. Kiera just decided to stand on the table since it was too tall for her to prop her leg like the bigger two.

Kaitlyn had a big day at school last Thursday. It was Grandparents Day. Mama & Papa Cheek and Great G-pa Bill all went. They all said they had a really fun time and I will have pictures as soon as I get them off of my moms camera. The picture below is something that Kaitlyn made for them at school and will be giving them this weekend. Surprise!

Pajama Day & more pictures

Today was snuggle up with a book in your PJ's day at school so even though it was nearly 80 degrees Kaitlyn was dead set on wearing her purple puppy dogs to school. She was so excited about getting to wear her pj's until she got on the bus and none of the other kids wore their pj's. Her bus driver was excited to see that Kaitlyn remembered to wear hers and reassured me I didn't have to run in and double checked and make sure I read the calender correctly. It was just none of the others on her bus wanted to participate. After the little girl Kaitlyn sits next to on the bus told Kaitlyn she loved her puppy dogs she didn't care she was the only one and became very proud of her pajamas again.

Kaitlyn had another picture day at school a few weeks ago. I thought they were only taking a class picture but she came home today with these adorable photos! If I would have known she'd be doing a sitting pose I may have not had her in a dress. But I think they are GREAT! Isn't she adorable?

Easter & Kiera's Birthday Party

We rolled Easter and Kiera's Birthday party all into one big celebration and it turned out to be very fun. We had perfect weather to be outside. The girls got to do another Easter egg hunt and did a bit of fishing in Aunt Val and Uncle Johns pond. They also took advantage of the huge driveway and went crazy with the sidewalk chalk. I have to admit I think I have just as much fun with that stuff as they do. We blew bubbles and attempted to fly a kite, that got caught in the tree, played a little golf, basketball, hula hooped and more. After we ate and did all the traditional things we do for Easter it was time to move into Birthday party mode with cake and ice cream and opening presents.
The girls left exhausted from a full day of nonstop play and a truck load of new outfits, toys and candy, candy, candy. Thanks Everyone for a GREAT day & if you get a craving for chocolate, come on down and help the girls eat it, we have tons!

The easter egg hunting teams were, Kaitlyn & James -vs- Kiera & Me. Kaitlyn's team won by 2.

Cake Time

Easter Egg Hunt

This was both of the girls first Easter Egg hunt. We had planned for the past few years to take Kaitlyn but due to rain we were never able to. But at last today we did it. Great Grandma Plate and Aunt Val met up with us and it was a lot of fun. they had a few fun activities for about an hour then they called us to the line for the hunt. Kiera was in the 1-2 year old class and Kaitlyn was in the 3-4 year class. Kaitlyn chose Aunt Val to be her buddy so Kiera got me. I was able to go on the field and help Kiera but Val had to tell Kaitlyn what to do and hope for the best. I wish I could have seen all of it, but Kaitlyn darted out to the middle of the field, one of the 1st ones out there, but froze. Val had to yell to her to start picking up eggs and finally she did. Kiera was kinda picky about the eggs that got to end in her basket she would sit down by a group and look at then then pick one or two, put them in her basket and check to make sure they were ok then move on to find some more. They both were really excited after the hunt to sit down and open their eggs and see what they got. Although they didn't win any of the grand prizes they got tons of candy and had a blast. Thanks to Aunt Val and Great Grandma for meeting up with us! I we will not be seeing you tomorrow. We hope that you all have a WONDERFUL Easter!
