There went Christmas

Christmas was great for us and we hope it was amazing for you as well. Kiera really enjoyed her 1st. She knew exactly what to do with the presents... or she just thought if she didnt go grab one real quick Kaitlyn would get it. We started off doing Christmas Eve for the very fisrt time. Mama Sharon had to work Christmas day so we thought we would give it a try. It made for a very long 2 days, but not having to rush from one place to the other or divide Christmas day as equally as possible was very nice. Here are some pics, the rest are on the way. Poor Oscars New Haircut is a Dud

I was hoping they would make him look all spiffed up, but they cut him wrong for his type. Gave him a Jack Russel Beard, which I hate. Shaved him short, when he is supposed to have some length. Poor guy looks so srawny. We'll let his hair grow back out so he can be handsome again with some curl. At least all the matting is gone and he is all clean for a fresh start. Here is his before and after shot. Dont worry he wont look like this for long about a month and he'll look just right.

Weekend without Daddy

James is going to Boston, MA for the weekend. A guy he does business with is hosting a Christmas Party. Pics above are of the girls getting back from seeing him off even though they both slept the whole time. Bad thing is they are expecting their 1st big snow up there tonight. His original flight was already canceled and they bumped him up to a 2pm flight today. Hopefully they can get there before the snow starts. I think they are expecting 12-14 inches by midnight tonight. And of course hopefully they can get home on time as well. Kaitlyn was napping when we went up to his work to visit him this morning since we cannot see him off at the airport. She would not wake up and of course as soon as we got home she woke up wanting to see her daddy. SO she is acting like she already misses him. She can be such a drama queen. We took Oscar to the groomers today. I will post a pic later of what he looks like all spiffied up.
I also wanted to tell everyone to be on the lookout for this crazy grandpa in the pictures below... He went with us to see Santa all smiles then ended up shooting at the reindeer. Love Ya Papa had to have some fun with the pictures :)

Meet our Newest Addition

We would like to announce that we have taken in a cute little guy, who goes by the name of Oscar. He is a 3 year old Cockapoo, he weighs about 10lbs and he came from a home with children that he was great with. (James' boss and his family) The new dog they adopted got big and decided to pull Oscar around like a rag doll and was not nice with him. So mom and dad made the kids choose one or the other and the kids wanted to keep the bigger dog because he was soemthing new. Their dad was not pleased with their choice but that is why Oscar is now part of our family. He does not shed at all! He doesnt take up much space. He is pretty much the perfect dog for our lifestyle. He looks like a big ball of curly fur right now, but he has an appointment with the groomers tomorrow, he is in big time need of a hair cut. His previous family said he looks like a totally different dog after a hair cut. Did I mention this breed doesn't shed!!!! I'll post another pic after his trim. It only took him an hour or so to warm up to us after his old family dropped him off. We are so thrilled to have him. The girls, eccpecially Kaitlyn was so excited to get this early Christmas present. All she asked for this past week for Christmas was a black puppy, a dora doll and a boots doll. So the timing of getting Oscar couldnt have been better. We are deffinatley on track for a fence first thing this spring, but he doesnt even run off if hes not on a leash. We are in a "trial" period to make sure he gets along no less than perfect with the girls, after he passes that test we look forward to loving him for a very very long time.

Christmas Party

James and I attended his company Christmas party saturday evening. It was a good time as usual. Except this time all the guys from his store behaved, for the most part. Last year they did not so this year our tables were right up front so an eye could be kept on us at all times. They were nice enough to put us right by a bar so it was all good.

Santa Scary? Kaitlyn Thinks So

So we ventured out this past Thursday to see Santa out at Bass Pro Shop. The place was decorated really great. There were activites for the little ones and a whole "christmas town" set up with elfs and trains. So I get Kiera ready and walk her up to Santa and she sits there looking at me as I walk away then turned to see who was holding her and she just stared at santa for a couple of minutes as he talked softly to her. She never smiled, but she didnt cry either. Then we tried to coax Kaitlyn into going and talking to santa and sit with him and her sister for a picture and like last year she wanted no part of that. If you remember last year Santa was sitting on a bench and the closest she ever got was on the bench next to him but if he tried to hold her or scoot closer, not happening. This year they did not have a bench so a few feet away was a close and she would go. He trid talking to her about Dora and baby dolls and her sister, but nothing worked. I hate pictures with screaming children so I wasnt even gonna try to make her sit on Santas lap, so we have another momorable phota of Kaitlyn being Kaitlyn. I cant wait for the years ahead when we can pull these pictures and have a good laugh, I already do, but some day she will as well.

15 Days Till Christmas!!!

We are getting so excited!!! We are looking forward to this being Kiera's 1st and Kaitlyns 4th! Since I'm rolling out the numbers... this will James and my 9th christmas togeather (5th as a married item), that makes me feel OLD!
I can not believe Kaitlyn has been with us that long already. We are running a bit behind as of now this year, I like to have the decorations up from the 5th to the 5th, but We got the tree up the other night and not a single strand of lights worked so we are waiting on lights At least I tried them before I put them on the tree, I've made that mistake before. Anyways, we have some big decisions to make as to which dress Kaitlyn is going to wear we have two and there is another at the store I am still wanting to check out. I was going to try and find the girls matching dresses, but t turns out since Kiera is as tiny as she is she fits perfectly into Kaitlyns first Christmas outfit, so you better belive I am going with that. I tried to get one of the dresses on Kaitlyn today and got Kiera dressed in hers to try and snap a pic for here, but they weren't all that cooperative and we had other things we had to get done. Look for another update real soon. We will be starting our 12 days of Christmas in a few days.

Kiera's 2 Favorite Things

So we never would have thought it would work out the way it does, but it turns out that the "wedge" part of our couch is Kieras' favorite place to hang out. She can be throwing the biggest fit I've ever seen, or James could be dealing with her screaming just after I have left and all you have to do is put her in the "wedge" and she gets this huge smile and just starts bouncing all over the place and laughing and babbling. It is too funny.Her other favorite is climbing into her carseat, sometimes she does this and ends up up side down other times she ends up sitting as if I put her in there and other times she is sideways, she thinks it is the best thing to climb around in. I will be attaching a few videos as soon as I can. for now enjy this cute little pic of Kiera all bundled up ready to go out in the cold.

19 Days Till Christmas!

I posted enough pictures. I thought it was time for an informative update. First off poor Kiera has had four top teeth breaking through all a few days apart for the past month now! 4 teeth that close together should be illegal. She has just been miserable. And she has started that scream if mommy leaves the room thig which is also very pleasant. Other than that she is an amzing being. She loves to laugh, clap, get into absolutely everything, tackle or try to tackle her sister and stand. She will be walking anyday now, I have a feeling. She will stand on her own for a minute or so at a time then go back down to crawl to where she wants to go. She is on Stage 3 foods now, which is pretty much the same foods everyone else east just a bit more blended. Last night she had the Chicken noodle soup and some banana mixed berries, she loved it. She loves to say "m-ba" over and over again, infact yesterday we had an actual back and fourth conversation. She was so excited about it.




Kaitlyn is doing great. She has hit the lovely stage of 3 years when she mistakingly thinks she is the parent and tries to tell James and I what to do non stop or point her finger at us and say, "No Mommy" or "Stay, I'll do it". She is 3 going on 16. Scary. her physical appearence is really starting to mature, there isnt much baby about her anymore. She looks like a kid now, lol. Her hair is down to her waist and I had to cut her bangs because she tried cutting them and took a section way too short so I just tried my best to ven them out. Now we have them growing back out again so they are constantly in her face driving us both crazy. She still loves Spongebob, but I think she likes Dora better these days she also still likes Clifford but not nearly as much as the others.




As for James and I, we are doing good as well. We are so relieved to announce that the apartment he has been redoing is finally done!!! he started on it 1 week before Kiera was born and it is finished as of yesterday! There will be an ad in the paper for it to be rented tomorrow. You may wonder why it took him 8 months to do it... he only could work on it the 2 days he didnt work at his real job, and hes not a carpenter by trade so when he went over there his modivation often didnt follow and he didnt get paid a dime. Who can be modivated when there is nothing comming in return? ah well, its done, thats all that matters. Next weekend we will be going to his company christmas party. I always enjoy seeing everyone all gussied up. Usually when I see these guys they are grease covered, so to see them all in suits and ties is pretty funny. Its usualy a realy good time and they always serve a good fillet and there is an open bar every 30 feet.
